The Kalgoorlie club has been running for over 30 years with last 25 Associated with the South West Goju Association.
The Kalgoorlie dojo is situated in the Kalgoorlie Dance Studio.
The has several head instructors of the years including Jack Zagar John Kakousidis , David Smith and Neil Dunlop.
I began training in 1986 as a 13 yr old under John Kakousidis, during this time I also studied Judo and aikido. I obtain my black belt in 1993 and was fortunate enough during Saiko Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi 1994 training visit, to be presented with my IGKA Japanese certificate by Saiko Shihan Yamaguchi himself.
I have also trained twice with international Kata coach Jean Marc Schedele during both of his visits to West Australia.
The club main focus is on traditional Karate-So and Self Defense.
I have been the head instructor for the Kalgoorlie dojo for the last 10yrs
